Wishing all a very very happy and prosperous DIWALI 2010.
For all those who don't know about this festival:
Diwali is the festival of light and is celebrated to mark the return of Hindu God, Rama after 14 years of exile and tough life. The Sikhs celebrate it to mark the release of their sixth Sikh Guru Hargobind, who was held by the Mughal Emperor Jahengir, from the Gwalior fort along with 52 other captive kings.
Diwali is celebrated with fan fare all through India by llighting their homes with decorative outdoor lights and bursting of fire crackers. This day sweets are celebrated through the relatives and immediate neighbourhood to strengthen bonds and brotherhood.
For more information just google Diwali and you will be thrilled with interesting facts and information.
Thanks for having a read.
